Our purpose is to provide worship, education, opportunities for fellowship, mentoring, and pastoral care for students who are members, friends, associates, or simply interested in the Episcopal Church. What is "Episcopal": Designed for all walks of religion, the Episcopal Church has a strong foundation for using scriptures, tradition, and reason to take with you on your faith journey. We encourage faithful discussion of scripture and the Christian life where questioning and skepticism is accepted. Questions are welcome, answers not required. This is an open dialog where your questions can be heard and responded to. WHY COME?Silence, stilling our hearts to provide a quiet restful place in our lives, get a sense of God in this place. Take a typical stressful college life day, be still, and know that God is with you. Music is relevant, contemporary, and vibrant. Carefully selected to coincide with scriptures. Sing uplifting praise songs that are truly fulfilling. Meditative...gets you thinking about your relationship with God. Providing a community of prayer and fellowship. Free, home-cooked potluck suppers, provided by area churches.
Taize is an opportunity to seek communion with God through prayer, singing, silence, and reflection. Taize is a style of Christian worship developed at a monastery in France. Where silence, scripture, and meditative singing along with quiet candle light surroundings to allow us to quiet our souls. WHO IS INVITED?Our campus ministry isn't just at one campus. We are developing a presence on all of the Wichita college and university campuses. Everyone is invited no matter what their age or religious background. Come to Worship. Learn more about who we are, and share in our fellowship. For more information, contact Jeff Roper, Campus Minister, at jroper@cox.net, or (316) 648-4261. |
