Baptism
We feel that God celebrates whenever a person is baptized! Baptism is the way that a person becomes Christian. We will baptize anyone who believes in Jesus and wants to become part of our church. We will also baptize children whose parents make a vow to raise them as Christians. Baptisms can be performed at any time at one of our smaller services (5:30 p.m. Saturday, 5:30 p.m. Sunday, or 8 a.m. Sunday morning). Baptisms are scheduled on about six Sundays throughout the year at our principle services, 9 and 11 a.m.. If you are interested in baptism, please email or call the Church's office.

Weddings
You do not need to be a member of St. James to be married at our church. We do hope that couples who get married here will be open to the possibility of joining our community. To be married here, either the bride or the groom must be baptized in a Christian denomination, and the couple must agree to undergo four pre-marital counseling sessions with a priest to prepare them for marriage. For more information or a wedding guidelines booklet, please contact the church office or speak to Deacon Deedee Evans.

Funerals
If you have a loved one who has died or who is terminal and needs our care, please know that we are here for you even if you are not a member of our church. Our priests regularly counsel the dying, perform Last Rites prayers, and prepare families for a funeral. We do funeral and memorial services at St. James Church and at other sites. Please, contact us to get the assistance that you need.
