Old English Tea
|
A time-honored tradition at St. James, the Old English Tea raises money for charities all over the city and county. Gathering together to put on a beautiful tea party along with booths to purchase many wonderful goodies, the women, and many of the men, and the youth of St. James go all out to make the tea a very special event. The Tea is certainly a joining together in fellowship to show Wichita a great time and to do a great deal of good. You may think "Tea" seems a quaint gathering -- this event transforms our Guild Hall into a beautiful "courtyard" look and feel and serves 400-500 people. Plan to be a part of this activity; set aside the first Saturday in May to participate. FABULOUS NEWS! This year’s Old English Tea was wonderfully successful! The thanks goes to all of you who worked so diligently or helped support this venture by buying thousands of dollars worth of beautiful geraniums. Every penny of profit went to support local charities and agencies.
If you helped in any way to make this year's a tea so successful, pat yourself on the back. If you missed this wonderful opportunity, please consider next year -- first Saturday in May, 2011 -- the 82nd Old English Tea.
