What is a "tween?" Fourth, fifth, and sixth graders, of course. Led by a couple of shepherdesses, Vicky Petty and Nina Hand, our Tweens meet every Sunday morning. They grow to trust one another as the year progresses. Tweens have their own social activities a couple of times a year, their own session at summer camp, and join in with the Youth Group for their Water Park venture in August. Tweens are welcome on Wonderful Wednesday evenings to join our older kids group upstairs in the Christian Ed area to do crafts and hear stories while Mom and/or Dad attend a Wonderful Wednesday group. Our 6th graders are considered a part of the Youth Ministry program. Every other year, 6th graders move into the Rite 13 class and are a part of the two-year community that continues throughout high school. Six graders are invited and encouraged to come on Wednesday evenings for Youth Group and to participate in youth group retreats and outings. |
