Meet the St James Vestry

 
Jerry Moss -- Coming soon
Ron Harrison has been a member since the mid 1970s although not very active until the last few years. He and his wife, Marylee are both very involved in assisting with any event at St. James that involves the kitchen. Currrently retired, Ron spent 26 years working as a supervisor at Cessna Aircraft and another 20+ years working for Rand Graphics. He is also the founder and former owner of Harrison’s Carpet Service. When Ron is not busy working on the St James lawn or in the kitchen, he can be found working on many other projects around the church and grounds.
George Bousfield George Bousfield was born in Canada and educated in the U.S. He has bachelors degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Saginaw Valley State College in Michigan. He obtained both masters and PhD degrees in Zoology from Indiana University. George is a cradle Episcopalian. He has been a member of St. James since 1991, when he and his wife, Helen, moved to Wichita. He has assisted in the nursery, served on the columbarium committee, and has been a lay reader. He currently helps usher at the 9:00 a.m. service.
Since joining St. James three years ago, Pam Callender has been involved in the follow programs: 'Basic A and initiated 'Basic B' with the intent of helping new members become familiar with the leadership of their new church; the Old English Tea serving as chair of the venders and of the dinning room design; the Oyster dinner every year; she is in Year 2 of the EFM program; chair of the Nominating Committee last year. Pam's education is a BS in business, with several years with Waddell and Reed investment firm and as staff assistant to the president of Columbia Savings and Loan in Denver. Subsequently she was office manager for many years in her husband's Orthodontic practice.
Tom Gossen Tom Gossen and his wife, Diane, joined The Episcopal Church in January 1972. Since then he has been active in parish ministry in Christian formation, youth, vestry, stewardship, LEM and delegate to diocesan convention. At the diocesan level, Tom served three terms as a General Convention Deputy and twice as first alternate and chaired the Commission on Stewardship & Planned Giving for 12 years. Church-wide service includes a six-year term on the Standing Commission on Stewardship & Development and as a member of TEC’s Executive Council from 2004-2009. Since 1997, Tom’s “day job” has been Executive Director of The Episcopal Network for Stewardship (TENS), an independent not-for-profit serving the greater Church with resources for nurturing generosity.

Eric Hartenstein is a lifelong Wichita resident, attended public school, Kansas State University and Kansas University Law School. He has attended St. James regularly since 2003. Currently in his third year of EFM, he has served for one year on the Vestry to fulfill an unexpired term where he helped with Adult Education. He serves as an usher and is currently on the After School Program board. He considers St. James his first real church home.
Tim Newlin is a life-long member of St. James Church. Attending the early worship service weekly with three generations of his family, Tim has many wonderful family memories in this church helping with Altar Guild and Advent decorations and setting up for the Old English Tea. Tim has enjoyed his service as an acolyte and Clerk of the Vestry, and currently serves on the Arts and Memorials Committee. Tim and his wife Kellie are Y.A.C.H.T. members and enjoy the fellowship and education of Wonderful Wednesdays. Tim works as an engineer for CNH America.

Monica Talbott is a high school teacher, and a lifelong Episcopalian. She has been a member of St James for about as long as she can remember. She loves our building, the liturgy, and the people and can’t imagine attending church anywhere else. Monica currently serves on the Columbarium Committee, the All Souls Guild, and is a member of Daughters of the King. Over the years, she has been involved in many different ministries at St James including the vestry, altar guild, served as volunteer coordinator of the nursery, co-chaired the Old English Tea, and served on the board of the After School Program. Monica's 12-year-old daughter, Brooke, is also a life-long member of St James and is an acolyte, Sunday School helper and member of Junior Daughters of the King.
